Logistics Receiving Facility

Duxbury Projects have undertaken the management of a £1.1m project to decommission a redundant machine shop, refurbishing the building to create a new goods receiving dock for the Client’s logistic operations.

The project required the control and management of a number of individual civil, electrical and mechanical contractors, working independently.

Duxbury Projects managed the project from concept to commissioning and included;

• Preparation of scheme layout options and costings.
• Budget preparation and submission of capital expenditure request for approval.
• Preparation of ITT and technical levelling of the main contractor bids.
• Management, planning and coordination of concurrent contractor activity to deliver a 16-week programme.
• Snagging and handover to the new occupants.

The project was delivered on budget and two weeks ahead of schedule to facilitate the early receipt of materials to support the Clients production build programme.
